Tutor Doctor started from the vision of founder John Hooi, who thought there was a solution for children who were struggling with school beyond more schooling. His initial tutoring service was so successful, that he decided to offer franchises in 2003, and the Tutor Doctor brand was born. Their proven one-on-one tutoring business model is available in 16 countries.
Tutor Doctor have a network of franchises around the UK; from larger, master territories, to individual franchise locations. From their website, customers can find information about their regional tutoring service and find a local representative. Tutor Doctor wanted to advertise local numbers for their tutor representatives in each area but were initially unsure how to procure and manage numbers on a large scale.

Tutor Doctor were allocated a range of UK virtual numbers for each of their regional tutors. These numbers were incorporated in to Telecoms World’s online portal so that all numbers could be managed from a central log-in and diverted to their franchisees preferred landline or mobile. However, Tutor Doctor had overall control of numbers and are able review call figures and call handling on each number.
Being able to centrally manage their franchise network, Tutor Doctor hold a list of local geographic numbers which can easily be allocated to regional franchisees. They are very pleased that they are able to manage service levels their end-customers receive which allows them to also manage their brand and maintain their professional, friendly approach. Call Statistics also allows them to monitor call volumes in each location and assess whether another franchisee might be required.
