03 Numbers
03 numbers are part of the 03 range and are available to any business or organisation.
03 phone numbers are non-geographic, giving your business a valuable UK-wide presence. They work in the same way as 08 numbers, but with one big, and customer-tempting, difference: the cost of calling them. More Info >
Customers only pay the same amount as a landline call to a 01 or a 02 number. And the price is the same for calls from mobiles. 0333 numbers are included in any discount schemes or inclusive call minutes that you may already have with landline or mobile phone operators.
Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator, introduced 0333 numbers so that consumers could have "confidence in the cost of their calls".
0300 numbers for charities, public sector bodies and non-profit organisations.
0300 numbers, part of the 03 range, have been allocated to public sector bodies and non-profit organisations such as charities. The Ofcom website gives guidance on who is eligible to use 0300 numbers.
0344 /0345 / 0370 /0371 numbers for business or number migration.
These numbers have been created for businesses which at present have 0844 numbers, 0845 numbers, 0870 numbers or 0871 numbers and wish to have an 03 number. If, for example, you have a number starting with 0845, it will change to 0345. Similarly, if you have an 0870 prefix, it will change to 0370.
